Four-Layer Porch Roof Tear-Off in Pittsburgh 15214
The homeowner wanted to replace an aging roof before further problems developed. The two-and-a-half-story Pittsburgh property combined steep and low-slope roof sections.
Project Overview
Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15214
Completed: August 14, 2026
Combined project: 2 working days
Materials and finishes: GAF Timberline HDZ, Fox Hollow Grey; Deck-Armor; StormGuard
The starting point
The assessment found four layers of shingles on the porch roof, along with failing flashing and other installation concerns. That layered porch roofing was a distinctive part of the project and a reason to remove the old material rather than simply cover it.
