The starting point
The assessment found that the existing roof did not have an ice-and-water shield. The replacement scope therefore included that protection layer together with new underlayment and the new shingle surface.

MY Pittsburgh Roofing removed the old roofing and installed GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Hickory. Deck-Armor underlayment, ice-and-water protection, starter shingles, and ridge ventilation were included in the new roof.

Drip edge, gutter apron, pipe boots, and cleanup were also part of the installation. New seamless aluminum gutters were installed during the combined project. The roof was straightforward to access, although parking was on the street.

The combined project was completed in one working day and checked at a final inspection. The roofing system was replaced, gutter drainage improved, and the report noted that the new roof refreshed the home’s appearance.
