Weathered Wood Roof Replacement on a Three-Story Mars Home
The roof on this three-story Mars row house was approximately 20 years old and had already received temporary fixes. The homeowner wanted the aging roof replaced rather than continue with piecemeal work.

The starting point
The assessment noted moisture signs on some OSB roof decking, and shingles were found in the yard during the estimate. Those findings indicated that decking work would be part of the replacement scope.
Roof replacement in Mars
MY Pittsburgh Roofing removed the old roof, completed decking repair or replacement, and installed GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Weathered Wood. Premium underlayment, an ice-and-water barrier, starter shingles, ridge-cap shingles, and ridge ventilation were included.

The home’s height and row-house setting made access more involved than at a simple detached single-story property. Gutter apron was included as a roof-edge component, but there was no separate gutter replacement in this case.
